Lucille V. Plotkin, age 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 24 ^th , 2018. Lu, as she liked to be called, was born March 12, 1927, to Anna and Maximillian Urbanski in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Lu resided at East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, New York. Prior to that she called The Cloisters, also in Warsaw, home for a brief time. She lived in East Aurora for many years. During her retirement Lu was active as a makeup artist for the Aurora Players. Lu enjoyed once playing a part in My Fair Lady, one of Aurora Players' productions. She played the Queen of Transylvania, a bit part, but very fitting! Her career included working as the manager for an exclusive European clothing shop in Detroit (Linda Dresner Shop) and serving as the Administrative Secretary to the President of the University of Texas at El Paso, among other things. She also enjoyed her time as a docent on the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora.

Lu survived three wonderful husbands in her lifetime who provided her with the opportunity to travel world-wide and partake in many sports. She loved people. She enjoyed meeting new friends and learning where life had taken them. She had fun in her earlier years downhill skiing, scuba diving and playing tennis. Lu was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bridge and Rummy and going to the Detroit Pistons games. Lu was an artist creating many unique works. She was a cancer survivor since 2007.

Beloved mother of Victoria (Viki) Barrett (John) of Warsaw, New York and James K. Todd (JoAnn "Jo") of Mattawan, Michigan. Grandmother of Kingdon Patrick Barrett (Kate) of South Bend, Indiana, and Eric Todd of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Devoted sister to Elaine Dillon (William) of East Aurora/ Florida, nieces Lynne Rimer (Dennis), and Susan Ososki and nephew, Paul Ososki (Carolyn) and their children, Hannah and Henry. There will be no services. A private Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Cloisters, 171 N.
