Lorraine V. Hewitt, age 96, of Chestnut Ridge Rd. Orchard Park, passed away Saturday, June 21st, 2014 at Hospice Buffalo in Cheektowaga. She was born in Queens, February 28th, 1918, daughter of the late Walter and Julia Seeman Hewitt. A lifetime resident of Amherst, Lorraine worked as a secretary for the Buffalo Slag Co. from where she retired in 1983. She enjoyed shopping and travel. Lorraine was predeceased by a brother, Walter Hewitt and 2 sisters, Bernice Coniglio and Beatrice Hewitt. Survivors include her Goddaughter, Lynette Seewaldt of Bliss. There are no calling hours scheduled. A private graveside service will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Tonawanda at the convenience of the family.
