Obituary

Lewis "Gary" Hudson, age 74, formerly of Wyoming and South Byron, passed away Friday, January 15th, 2016 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. He was born in Warsaw, August 1st, 1941, son of the late James M. and Tona B. Fitzpatrick Hudson. A lifetime resident of Wyoming and Genesee Counties, and a 1958 graduate of Wyoming Central School, Gary worked as a Production Supervisor for Gerber Foods in Rochester and General Foods in Avon. Lastly, before retirement Gary worked at the Cherry Processing Plant in Wilson, NY. He was a lifetime member of the Bergen Rod and Gun Club, was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors, and loved his vegetable garden. Gary was predeceased by 3 brothers, Stewart, Henry and James Hudson and a sister, Barbara. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mary (Ken Nozik) Alexander of Henrietta, Laura (Harold) Kelley of Springville, and Jennifer (David) Parrish of Wyoming; a son, Daniel (Heidi) Hudson of Pavilion; His former wife, mother of his children, and lifelong friend, Helen Hudson of Castile; a brother, F. Dean Hudson of Flower Mound, TX; a sister, Marlene Burke of California; 13 grandchildren, Cody, Brandon, and Danielle Alexander, Cole and Noah Hudson, Amanda, Lisann, and Jessica Kelly, Samuel, Jedidiah, Tate, Ruby, and Emanuel Parrish; 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Gary may call from noon to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm Monday, January 18th, 2016 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A time of remembrance will be held at the funeral home following calling hours at 6pm. Burial will take place in the Wyoming Cemetery privately.
