Leon A. Baylor, age 84 formerly of Bartlett Avenue, Warsaw, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the New York State Veteran's Home in Batavia. Leon was born in Warsaw, September 11 ^th 1935 the son of the late Walter and Viva Close Baylor. He served our nation proudly and honorably with the United States Army from 1958-1959. Leon worked as a welder for Trojan in Batavia for 32 years and after retiring worked part time for the Warsaw School District in the maintenance department. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR and was a big Tony Stewart fan. Leon was a hard working man dedicated to his family who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Leon was preceded in death by the love of his life, Nancy Newland Baylor whom he married April 4 ^th 1964 and spent 47 years with before her passing in 2012. Also predeceased are his brothers; Ross, Harold, John, Stanley, Leslie and a sister; Evva Vigneri.

Survivors include a son; Kevin Baylor of Orchard Park, NY, a daughter; Tammy (Ed) Morse of Castile, a sister; Mary Beagle of Bartow, Florida, 3 sisters in-law; Becky Vonglis, Linda Hamilton, and Bonnie Newland all of Warsaw, 3 grandchildren; Heather (Lucas) Burnap of Lafayette, Indiana, Katie (Mike) Ibach of Cheektowaga, Chad (Kristina) Morse of Gainesville, 6 Great grandchildren; Derek Ibach, Nathan, Jacob, and Audrey Burnap, Colben and Conner Morse as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral was conducted by Pastor Daryn Duff of the Rock Glen Baptist Church and held at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw with full military honors.
