Lawrence J. Prosser, age 74 of Gainesville, passed away, Friday July 29, 2022 at the East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. Larry was born in Niagara Falls, March 11, 1948 a son of the late James B. and Jeanette H. Radziszewski Prosser. Larry graduated from LaSalle High School in 1966 and went on to attend Trott Vocational. He served his apprenticeships as both a Millwright and Welder and then continued to work for Good Year Tire and Rubber in Niagara Falls where he retired in 2003 after thirty years. Larry was a hard working man that was dedicated to his loving family. He enjoyed all things outdoors, to include hunting, fishing, camping and shooting sports. Larry was a member of the Silver Springs United Methodist Church. He was known to be quite the practical joker but also a great mentor to his boys. He was so very proud of their accomplishments.

Larry was preceded by his son, Kevin Prosser in 2011, and a brother in-law, Walter Putaski.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Joanne K. Akin Prosser, whom he married on October 7, 1972. Also surviving are his son, Michael (Melanie) Prosser of Depew, a sister, Patricia Putaski of Saratoga, NY, two grandchildren, Gianna Prosser and Dakota Walker both of Saratoga, close friends, Patricia Arbutina of Orangeville, Rod Bergeron of Niagara Falls, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends of Lawrence J. Prosser may call at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569 on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 10 to 11am followed by a memorial service beginning at 11am conducted by Reverend Gene Parker.
