Laurel J. Vosburg, age 85, of Salina St., Warsaw, passed away Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Pike, September 1st, 1928, daughter of the late Stanley I. and Eudora P. Hogle Vosburg. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1946 graduate of Castile High School, Laurel worked at the Perry Knitting Mill for 8 years, in assembly for Mallory Timers for 31 years, and then for Delta Mills in Maiden, NC from where she retired. She was a member of Rock Glen Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Euchre and Dominoes as well as travel and visiting with family. Laurel was predeceased by 3 sisters, Genevieve Butler, Verna McDonald, and Janice DeGroff; and 2 brothers, Virgil and Robert Vosburg. Survivors include 3 daughters, Edith (Carlton) Werner of Tucson, AZ, SueAnn (Greg) Goss of Union Furnace, OH and Diane (Michael) Moorhouse of Middleville, MI; a son, Phillip (Beverly) Walker of Warsaw; a sister-in-law, Winifred Vosburg of Castile; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Walker of Perry; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Laurel may call from 7pm to 9pm Monday, June 9th, 2014 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw, NY 14569. A funeral service will be held 10am Tuesday, June 10th at the LaGrange Baptist Church. Burial will follow privately in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Perry Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Laurels name to the Rock Glen Baptist Church at 4311 New York 19, Silver Springs, NY 14550.
