Laura Jeanette Werner Gear passed away at home in Rochester, at the age of 87, on February 11, 2022. She was predeceased by her parents, Fredrick and Viola (Merrill) Werner and her brother Richard Werner. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Sidney Gear, her sister in law; Joyce Werner; sons Steven (Jacqueline) John (Kathleen), and Daniel (Stephanie) and grandchildren; Shelby, Kevin, and Kyle Gear as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Laura was a 1953 graduate of Pavilion Central School and a graduate of Wyoming School of Nursing in 1956. She spent 40 years as a registered nurse in all types of service. Laura enjoyed her nursing duties and missed it greatly when she retired. She was a wonderful wife and mother.

There will be a brief funeral service 11am, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw, NY 14569. Burial will be at a later date in the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bethany, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made out to Linda A.
