Kevin J. Fitzmaurice, age 80, of Genesee Street Warsaw, died peacefully, Monday March 16th 2009 at Crossroads House in Batavia surrounded by his loving family. Kevin was born in South Buffalo, NY, September 28th 1928 the son of the late Frank G. and Margaret Burke Fitzmaurice. He worked for Westinghouse in Attica for over 30 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Michael's Church in Warsaw and served as the Chief Steward for Local #302. Kevin also belonged to the local Alzheimer's Support Group. He served with the US Army Air Corps during WWII with the 13th Air Supply Squadron. He was an avid golfer and had five holes in one to his credit. Kevin is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years Pearl Janas Fitzmaurice, 4 brothers; Donald, Emmett, James, and Edwin Fitzmaurice, and a sister; Irene Alguire. Survivors include 4 daughters; Julie (Robert) Bayliss of Wyoming, Arlene (Keith) Clark of Johnsonburg, Christine (Stephen) Rumble of Conesus, Patricia (Gregory) Huyck of Frederick, MD, a son; Clarence (Nancy) Dobson of Rapid City, Mich, 1 brother; Frank Fitzmaurice of Warsaw, a sister; Geraldine Dobstaff of Orchard Park, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a special niece; Sharon Lipp of Cape Vincent, NY, and many nieces and nephews survive. Friends of Kevin J. Fitzmaurice may call at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw on Thursday, March 19th from 7-9pm and again on Friday, Mar. 20th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Church in Warsaw on Saturday, March 21st at 12pm with Father Lawrence Damian celebrating.
