Kenneth F. Murtha age 84 of Rt. 20A Warsaw passed away Thursday, October 31 ^st 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Java Lake, New York, the son of the late Kenneth S. and Mary E. Sauer Murtha, Ken remained a lifetime resident of Wyoming County. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corp from 1954-1957. Ken came home to start his own business which he owned and operated for 53 years, Ken's Tree Service. Ken attended Batavia City Church, was a longtime member of Walter Klein Post #532 and the Warsaw Fire Department. He enjoyed reading, going to the races and tractor pulls, Friday night fish fry's and traveling in his motor home. Ken was a very hard worker and could always be found maintaining his property and equipment.

Ken was preceded in death by his first wife Lois Whitcomb and his longtime companion Dorothy Howard, three brothers, Daniel, David, and Robert, two sisters, Monica Sikes and Maureen Waterrose.

Survivors include his three daughters, Karen Wallace of Warsaw, Katrina (Kevin) Riley of Tampa, FL, Nichole Murtha of Warsaw, two sons, Michael (Patti) Murtha of Warsaw, Kevin Murtha of Oswego, six sisters, Mary (Jacob) Weber of Pavilion, Margaret (the late Wilson) Parmerter of North Java, Madeline Beach and (Angelo Lamitina) of Gainesville, Jean (Walter) Vincent of Bloomfield, Kathy Murtha of Silver Springs, two brothers, Gerald (Pamela) Murtha of Ohio, Jack Murtha of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews.

An American Legion service will begin at 11am Saturday, November 16 ^th at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw followed by full military honors. The Warsaw Fire Department will then have a service followed by a memorial service conducted by Pastor Marty Macdonald of Batavia's City Church.
