Keith Eugene Merill, age 90, of Avon Rd. Geneseo, passed away Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in Freedon, May 14th, 1924, son of the late Eugene and Martha Strong Merrill. A lifetime resident of the area, Keith worked as an assembler at the Doty Center in Geneseo. He had a great sense of humor, was a terrific uncle, a good friend to all who knew him, and was a kind and gentle soul. Despite his limitations, Keith was a very intelligent man. He enjoyed bird watching, collecting model cars, listening to country music and western clothing. Keith was predeceased by 2 brothers, Frank and Alan Merrill, and a sister-in-law, Ruby Merrill. Survivors include a nephew, Mark (Laureen) Merrill of Bliss, and nieces Diane (Rev. Michael) Stephenson of Medina, Kathleen (Kenneth) Golde of Silver Springs, and Lois Peters of Azusa, CA. A graveside service will be held 1pm, Thursday August 7th, 2014 in the Sandusky Cemetery, Sandusky.
