Obituary

Keith Buttles, age 80, of Dale Rd., Warsaw passed away Easter Sunday, April 20th, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pike, November 2nd, 1933, son of the late Howard and Elsie Merle Buttles. A resident of Warsaw for the past 42 years, previously of Wyoming and Pearl Creek, Keith was a 1950 graduate of Letchworth Central School and Brockport College alumni. Keith taught Physical Education at Wyoming Central and Pavilion Central where he coached several sports, namely Basketball. Keith was a golf pro for many years at Byrncliff and an avid golfer. He also enjoyed woodworking and bowling. Keith will be remembered as a terrific father, a hard worker, for being well respected, kind, generous and faithful. He truly loved the Lord and it showed through his membership and Deaconship at the First Baptist Church of Warsaw for 40 years. Keith was predeceased by a son, David K. Buttles; a brother, Howard Buttles Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Pat Buttles. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Emmajean "Emmie" Marriott Buttles of Warsaw; 2 sons, Timothy (Alla) Buttles of Warsaw and Gerald (Terry) Buttles of West Palm Beach, FL; 2 daughters, Karen (Gary) Reed of Cheektowaga and Marianne (Rob) Branch of Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Connie Bergen of FL; a brother, Bruce (Pat) Buttles of Warsaw; 12 grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Keith may call Friday, April 25th, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held 10am Saturday, April 26th at the First Baptist Church of Warsaw with Pastor Winston Platt officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, Perry.
