Julia May Waite Straub, age 94, of LaGrange Road Wyoming, passed away at home, Saturday, April 2, 2022. Julia was born in Avon, New York, a daughter of the late Henry and Julia Williams Clements. Julia worked for the the defense industry during WWII for Dinion Coil, something she was very proud. More recently she cooked at the Valley View in Warsaw for several years. Julia was a longtime member of NARFE, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Julia was a master at canning every sort of fruit and vegetable. She was a terrific homemaker, enjoyed working with needlepoint and loved watching NASCAR, as a Bodine Racing Team fan.

Julia was preceded by the father of her children and first husband, Elmer L. Waite and her second husband George J. Straub. Additionally preceded are a son, David Waite, a granddaughter, Angela Waite, a sister Gladys Keenan, two brothers, Melvin and Truman Clements.

Survivors include her four sons, James (Linda) Waite of Mt. Morris, Jerry Waite of Wyoming, Dick (Beverly) Waite of South Warsaw, Daniel Waite of Akron, a sister, Barbara Mason of Dade City, Florida, a brother Blair (Linda) Clements of Madisonville, Tennessee, and a sister in-law Dorothy Kelly of Perry and 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Friends of Julia May Straub may call on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home 1pm on Friday April 8 ^th 2022 conducted by a close family friend, Stephen Clark of Leicester. Burial will follow in the Pavilion Cemetery.
