Perry-
Joyce M. Friedline, age 79, of Club Rd. in Perry passed away Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015 at her home with her loving husband of 49 years, Robert Friedline, by her side. She was born in Santa Clara, NY on December 16th, 1935. Following the death of her mother, Joyce was adopted by the late Vera & John Cleary before she was a year old. She graduated from Binghamton High School in 1954 and decided shortly thereafter to seek a new life in California; once there, she began a long career in X-ray Technology. She retired in 2000 after serving as X-Ray Technician Supervisor at Faxton Hospital in Utica, NY for 15 years. She moved to Silver Lake (Perry) in 2012. She spent most of her adult life caring for kids in addition to working full time. Besides her 3 biological children, she also adopted two kids from Russia and raised two granddaughters. As if this weren't enough, she spent the last 2 years of her life caring for foster children.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Lynn Friedline, and brothers Francis & Eloi Lantaigne and sister Margaret.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include children: John G. (Penny) Friedline of Binghamton, Michael D. Friedline of West Winfield, NY, Tatiana Friedline of Buffalo and Maxim Friedline of Perry; brother Ernest Lantaigne of Theresa, NY; grand children Heather Marie Friedline of Buffalo, Stephanie Friedline of Buffalo, Michael Friedline Jr. of West Winfield, NY and Ashley Brown of Bismarck, North Dakota, and 3 great grand children.
A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will take place at a later date in the St. Stanislaus Koska Cemetery, Perry.
