Joseph D. Wright, age 64, of Turtle Rock Road, Lakeville passed away peacefully, Sunday July 2, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Joe was born in Warsaw, January 29, 1959 a son of the late Donald and Beatrice Poste Wright with whom he lived until moving into the Warren IRA on Genesee Street in Warsaw. He resided there until moving to the Turtle Rock location in 2022. Joe was a local lifetime resident and graduated from the Special Education program at Leicester Central School. He began working at Hilltop Industries in Mt. Morris as an assembler and remained there for 42 ½ years up until his passing. Joe had many interests, but was best known for his love of Elvis, which was expressed in his vast collection of all things Elvis. He also loved Monarch butterflies and for years had lovingly cared for them in each stage of their lives ending in releasing them in time for their migration. Joe was an avid bowler, Special Olympics participant, and most recently an artist. He was an amazing human being who lived life to the fullest with a constant smile and cheery attitude. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all those who were impacted by Joe.

Survivors include his sister, Joanne (David) Avino and a brother, Mark (Annie) Wright both of Warsaw, 2 nieces, Nicole Fenn and Chelsea Bailey 2 nephews, Eric and Chris Wright and a great niece Leela Hughes. A graveside service will be held in the Warsaw Cemetery, 10am, Wednesday, July 12, 2023 conducted by Pastor Winston Platt of Warsaw's First Baptist Church.
