Obituary

John H. Jedrzejek, age 93, of North Maple St., passed away Sunday, February 5th, 2017 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. He was born in Rochester Mills, PA, December 27th, 1923, son of the late Andrew and Sophie Lisek Jedrzejek. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, John worked as a Stone Mason for Letchworth State Park for 17 years from where he retired in 2004; as well as doing work as a lumberjack and carpenter. He was a member of the Bliss Fire Department and built 3 homes including his most recent residence when he was 65. John was a very hardworking man who enjoyed watching sports and was a loving father and grandfather who was very proud of his families accomplishments. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Edmund, Walter and Joseph Jedrzejek. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Ivy Wagner Jedrzejek of Warsaw; 3 daughters, Elizabeth (Robert) Weatherford of Cross, SC, Debra (Rick) Keating of Salem, OR, and Bonnie Floyd of Warsaw; 2 sisters, Alice Beck of Machias and Ann Wrzsein of Buffalo; 6 grandchildren, James Karcanes, Jennifer Childs, Thomas Maimone, Andrew Maimone, Elizabeth Mattingly, and Kaitlin Floyd; 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Freinds of John may call Monday, February 13th, 2017 from 2to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home 11am Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 with Pastor Todd Daningburg officiating. Burial will take place in the Warsaw Cemetery.
