John D. Carpenter, age 66, of Salina St. passed away Monday, July 17th at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. He was born in Rochester, May 1st, 1951, son of the late William Carpenter and Virginia Alcorn Carpenter of Lyndonville, NY. A resident of Warsaw since 2012, previously of Batavia, John worked in the warehouse and as a food transport driver for Lipton Soup in Albion. He enjoyed listening to music, especially classic rock and country. John served his country honorably with the United States Navy from 1969 to 1971. He was preceded in death by a daughter; Tina Louise Carpenter. John is survived by a daughter, Kristy (David) Pittman of Maryville, TN; a son, Shane Carpenter of Wolcott, NY, three brothers; William (Beth) Carpenter III, Mark (Brenda) Carpenter, and Michael Carpenter all of Lyndonville, NY and 11 grandchildren several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 am Friday, July 28th 2017 in Bath National Cemetery with full military honors.
