Jim Grew, age 84, of Route 77, Varysburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the Gateway House in Attica, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Buffalo, September 25, 1938 a son of the late Arthur G. and Kathleen Pierce Grew. He attended East Aurora High School and went on to join the United States Air Force. Jim returned home and found his passion in sales. He most recently sold cars, specializing in police cruisers. Jim was the kind of guy who was known to be able to sell "Manure" to a farmer. Jim had a great sense of humor and developed good relationships and strong bonds with his clients, family and friends. He was a dedicated golfer, holding numerous country club memberships throughout the years to include, Orchard Park, Springville, and Ironwood. He enjoyed professional baseball and regular casino trips. Jim was a longtime member of both the East Aurora Moose Lodge #370 and the American Legion Post # 362.

Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie and Pat Grew.

Survivors include his beloved wife and companion of 21 years, Susan Leonard Grew, whom he married on August 2 ^nd 2001. Additional survivors include his step daughters, Cheryl Maffetorie of Panama City, FL, Shelly (Franz) Herrmann of Johnsonburg, his step sons, Tommy (Rose Foloran) Militello of Gowanda, and Tony (Suzanne Brown) Militello of St. Petersburg, FL, five brothers, Terry (Fran Randall) of Williamsville, Kevin of East Aurora, Joe (Eileen) of Lackawanna, Dan (Kathy) of East Aurora, Paul (Sylvia) of West Seneca, five sisters, Mary Pat (Dave) Cowles of The Villages, FL, Kathy Hoeh of East Aurora, Martha (Ken) Whittington of South Attleboro, MA, Deborah (Leland) Schoch of West Falls, Jeri Wilson of Buffalo, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim's final wish was that others may learn from and be helped by his final gift as he donated his body to the UB Medical School.
