Rider, Jerold D. Jr. "Bud"

Jerold D. Rider Jr., age 59, of East Street Gainesville, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, May 6 ^th 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born in Warsaw, July 27 ^th 1960, the son of the late Jerold D. Rider Sr. and Marilyn C. Campbell-Rider of Wyoming, NY. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County Jerry graduated from Wyoming Central School in 1978 and went on to work at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy, then Gleason Works in Rochester before his most recent employment at D.P. Tool in Avon where he worked for the last 12 years as a CNC Operator/Programmer. Jerry truly enjoyed the outdoors, and liked to camp, hunt and fish. He found his peace and freedom while riding his motorcycle. Known as a hard worker, Jerry was supportive and dedicated to his family. He was preceded in death by his father in 2008 and his mother in-law Marilyn Bush-Christie in 2012.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 38 years; Teresa A. Christie Rider, a daughter; Kristy Rider of Warsaw, a son; Cory (Samantha Smith) Rider of Warsaw, three sisters; Dawn (Butch) Hirsch of Pavilion, Kim (Dick) Welliver of Castile, Sherry (Joe) Vara of Fredonia, a father in-law; Harley Christie of Warsaw, two grand daughters; Naomi and Chloe Rider of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Gainesville conducted by Pastor Ben Campbell of Wyoming Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Weeks Funeral Home 123 N.
