Jane E. Wright, age 87 of Wyoming Road, Wyoming, NY passed away peacefully, Sunday August 16, 2026 at Rochester General Hospital, while surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born in Batavia, the daughter of the late William Edward and Mary Ellen Foley Dillon. A 1956 graduate of Wyoming Central School, Jane spent a lifetime raising a beautiful family together with the love of her life, Lawrence H. Wright whom she married in 1958. Jane was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Pavilion, the Susan Look Avery Club, and the Middlebury Historical Society. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Jane enjoyed traveling to historic places and Disney World. She was a big fan of both the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and of course the Buffalo Bills.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry in 2010 after 51 great years of marriage. Survivors include a son Thomas (Teresa) Wright, two daughters, Susan Wright and Nancy (Doug) Norton all of Wyoming. Additional survivors include 5 grandchildren, Timothy Wright of Perry, Lucinda Wright of Brooklyn, NY, Michael Wright of Perry, Christopher (Katrina) Norton of Baltimore, MD, Heidi (Jack) LePage of Grand Island, 4 great grandchildren, Emma Wright of Perry, Ayla Wright of Brooklyn, NY, Nora and Emma LePage of Grand Island and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends of Jane E. Wright may call at the Norton Homestead at 14 South Academy Street Wyoming on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 3pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Saturday, August 22, 2026 with Father Patrick Melfi as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Wyoming Cemetery beside her husband Larry. Memorial contributions are requested to the Middlebury Historical Society at PO Box 198 Wyoming, NY 14591. Weeks Funeral Home has arrangements.
