James W. Woodworth, age 70 of Rt. 20A Varysburg passed away in his own home Thursday, November 13, 2008. James was born in Warsaw, October 11th 1938 the son of the late Croy and Mary Bauer Woodworth. James worked for Lapp Insulator in LeRoy as a machine operator for 33 years before retiring in 2000. He was a member of Warsaw Moose Lodge #560 for 40 years and enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle. James was a family man who truly enjoyed the outdoors and his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister Anne Ackerman. Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years Patricia L. Schrader Woodworth, 3 Daughters; Terry Peoples and Pamela Woodworth both of PA, Deborah (Brian) Wozniak of Warsaw, 2 Sons; James (Mary) Woodworth of PA and Dennis (Cori) Woodworth of Avon. 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren survive as well as 5 Brothers; Eugene (Etta) of Silver Lake, Lester (Barb) of Warsaw, Charles (Florence) of Perry, Fred (Norma) of Mt. Morris and Merle Woodworth of Pike. A Sister Mary Lou Matyas of Warsaw and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Friends of James W. Woodworth may call on Tuesday, November 18th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19th at 10am with Pastor Lauren Turner of Warsaw's 1st Methodist Church as celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery in Wethersfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warsaw Moose of Varysburg Rescue Squad.
