Obituary

James E. Strathearn, age 70, of Blackhouse Road, Warsaw passed away, Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Jim was born in Warsaw, January 7, 1952, a son of the late William J. and Ruth J. Teter Strathearn. Jim resided in Castile most of his life, later moving to Depew until 2021 when he returned to Warsaw. Jim drove tractor trailer for various trucking companies in the region and most recently for Kistner Concrete in East Bethany. He married his bride of 52 years; Linda M. Moltrup Starthearn June 27, 1970. A longtime attendee of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw, Jim was very close to his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed hunting and target shooting and everything to do with the outdoors. Jim was a terrific woodworker and made various pieces of furniture for his family throughout the years. He was happiest spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. You could find him with a big old smile while he mowed his lawn and maintained his property.

Jim was survived by his wife Linda of Warsaw, his daughter; Carrie (Andrew) Netzel of Depew, a son; James M. (Danielle) Strathearn of Silver Springs, two brothers; Richard (Nancy) Strathearn of Leicester, Kenneth (Susan) Strathearn of Castile, a sister; Donna Ward of Kansas, four grandchildren; Maddison and McKenna Strathearn, Logan and Kayla Netzel, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Friends of James E. Strathearn may call on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 10am to 11am at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569. A funeral service will follow the calling at 11am conducted by Pastor Winston Platt of the 1 st Baptist Church of Warsaw. Burial will take place privately in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
