Obituary

James M. Morgan, age 68, of Afton St., passed away Tuesday, December 15th, 2015 at his home in Rochester. He was born in Batavia, October 31st, 1947, son of the late Charles and Dorothy Moag Morgan. A resident of Rochester since 1993, and formerly of Stafford, James graduated from Pavilion Central School in 1965. He worked for Kodak in Rochester as a Quality Assurance Engineer from where he retired in 2005 after 20 years. James was known to be a wealth of knowledge to those close to him. He enjoyed restoring cars and trucks, hunting, fishing, and collecting fine treasures. James was a lifetime member of the Perry VFW post 5009 and served his country honorably with the United States Air Force as a radio repairman during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Souva and a brother, Dennis "Bear" Morgan. Survivors include a daughter, Christine (Mike DeJaneiro) Morgan of Batavia; a brother, Jerry (April) Morgan of Batavia; a brother-in-law, David Souva of Rochester; 2 nephews, Jeff (Judith) Souva of Nanuet, NY and Craig Souva of Glen Mills, PA; 3 great nephews, John, James and Colin Souva; his former wife, Linda Morgan of Stafford; and a granddog, Brewser. Friends of James may call from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Friday, December 18th at the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St. Warsaw, NY 14569. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10am Saturday, December 19th at Mary Immaculate St. Mary's Site, Pavilion with Father Innocent Diala officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pavilion.
