Obituary

James C. Domnissey, age 66, of Merchant Rd., Warsaw, passed away Sunday, December 15th, 2013, at the Wyoming County Community Hospital. He was born February 26th, 1947 in Warsaw, son of the late Carl J. Domnissey and of Shirley C. Domnissey of Port Richey, FL. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and 1965 graduate of Warsaw Central School, James worked as a security guard for Eastman Kodak in Rochester for 30 years from where he retired in 1999. He was a member of St. Michaels Church in Warsaw and served his country honorably with the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. James enjoyed vegetable gardening, taking care of his homestead, his family and grandchildren. He was a loving and generous man who was steadfast in his principles. James was predeceased by his father and 2 brothers, Roger and Michael Domnissey. Survivors include his loving wife Sandra L. Fridley Domnissey of Warsaw whom he married in 1967; 2 daughters, Catherine Domnissey and Renee (William Jr.) Klatt both of Albion; a son, Eric Domnissey of Albion; 3 grandchildren, Robert, Chloe and James Klatt of Albion; and a niece, Lynda Ann Domnissey of Batavia. A memorial service will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, December 21st, 2013 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St., Warsaw where military honors will be rendered. Memorial contributions may be made in James name to the Warsaw Rescue Squad at PO Box 22 Warsaw, NY 14569.
