Howard L. Upright, age 95, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at his residence in Warsaw. He was born in Eagle, NY, October 9th, 1916, the son of the late David and Myrtle Furnal Upright. A resident of Warsaw for the past 20 years and previously of Gainesville, Howard graduated from the University of Rochester. He worked as a self-employed chicken and dairy farmer in Lamont, NY, later retiring from Mallory Timers after 10 years. Howard enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, camping, senior dinners and assembling jigsaw puzzles. He was also a C.B. enthusiast and looked forward to his annual Florida vacations and the trip there with his sister. Howard was predeceased by a sister, Arlene DeLude. Survivors include a sister, Marian Balcom of Florida; a nephew, Robert (Laura Sines) DeLude of Addison, NY; 2 nieces, Beverly (Louis Pfeiffer) Pedraza of Warsaw and Sue (Clair) Shoemaker of Campbell, NY; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Friends of Howard may call Wednesday, April 4th, 2012 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St. Warsaw, NY 14569. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, April 5th, 2012 at 1pm with Pastor Randy Bell of the First Baptist Church of Attica as celebrant. Burial will take place following the service in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Howard's name to The Cloisters, 171 North Maple St. Warsaw, NY 14569
