Helen Baker Rowley, age 96, of West Middlebury Rd., passed away Sunday, March 25th, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wethersfield, June 23rd, 1921, daughter of the late Fred and Eva Hann Baker. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, Helen was a dedicated homemaker as well as foster mother for 43 children over a 35 year period. She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church for 67 years, and as a member of the United Methodist Women of the Church, Helen helped organize and serve meals. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Harold Rowley whom she married September 14th, 1940, in 2002; 2 sisters, Ruth Rhodes and Louise Del Zotto; 4 brothers, George and Lynn Merithew, Carl and John Baker; a son-in-law, Mike Clark; a grandson, Richard Rosa; a great grandson, A.J. Boone; and a great grand daughter, Abigail Lee. Survivors include 4 daughters, Marie Lee of Wyoming, Patricia (Les) Ruckert of Whiting, NJ, Vicki Drum of West Batavia, and Mary Lou Clark of Wyoming; a son, Charlie (Barb) Kleinbach of Forrest, VA; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a loving and dedicated great nephew, Steve (Amy) Fox of Pavilion, who faithfully visited weekly, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends of Helen may call Friday, March 30th, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. Additional calling hours will be held Saturday, March 31st, 2018 at the funeral home from 10am to noon with a funeral service held following at noon.
