Hazelyne "Lyne" Boris, age 78 of Murphy Road Gainesville, New York passed away peacefully, Tuesday March 26, 2024 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. Lyne was born in Boston, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Reverend Newell K. and Lyle M. Withers Hall. A graduate of Candor High School in Candor, NY Lyne earned her BA in Occupational Therapy from the University of Buffalo and went on to earn her MA in OT from Boston University. She worked at West Seneca Developmental and more recently at Allegany Rehabilitation Associates in Warsaw before retiring in 2009. A resident of Gainesville since the 1970's, Lyne was a 4H leader and enjoyed raising and spending time with her horses, especially Arabians. She also enjoyed quilting and needlepoint. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Quilting Group and the Gainesville Needle Club. Lyne was a generous and creative lady who cared deeply for others. She truly had a unique outlook on life. Lyne used her talents as an amateur photographer as well.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard F. Boris whom she married April 6, 1968. Additional survivors include her three brothers, Bruce (Robin) Hall of Harrisburg, VA, Warren Hall of Kensington, MD, and Dr. Neil K. Hall of Cary, NC.
