Harry E. Woodworth Sr., age 93, formerly of Bowen Ave. Gainesville, died Saturday, February 16th 2013 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Harry was born in Pike, July 30th 1919, the son of Frank and Mae Esterbrook Woodworth. Harry was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a lifetime resident of Gainesville and a member of the North Gainesville United Methodist Church. He worked 39 years at Morton Salt as a fork lift operator before retiring in 1981. Harry was very active for many years with the Gainesville Volunteer Fire Department and the Western New York Fireman's Association. He is preceded in death by his sons Harry Jr. on February 29th 2012 and Daniel Sr. on October 2nd 2005, 2 sisters Lucy Hachey, and Ella Irwin Goodell, 3 brothers; Croy, Lemuel, and Albert . Survivors include his loving wife, Pearl Satter Woodworth of 73 years, whom he married on May 22nd 1939, a son Ronald (Diane) Woodworth of Dunn, North Carolina, a sister; Vivian Lee of Warsaw, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Harry Woodworth Sr. may call at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw from 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday, February 20th 2013. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home 11am Thursday, February 21st with Reverend Paul Phillips as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery Gainesville.
