The Reverend Harold Eddy Sr., of Genesee Park Boulevard Rochester, died peacefully Sunday, November 22nd, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at Highland Hospital. Harold was born on October 29th, 1937, the son of the late Dayton Eddy and Laura Farmer Eddy. Graduating in 1956 from Warsaw Central School, Harold moved to Johnson City to attend Baptist Bible Seminary. Obtaining his B.A. in Theology, Harold ministered at Thurston Christian Church and Lebanon Springs, West Edmonston, Millport and Mt. Washington Baptist Churches. A lover of all sports, Harold was an especially dedicated New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed working with his hands and he was hard working, caring and a loving father and husband. Harold was liked by all who met him. He is survived by his wife, Lucille L. Bolt whom he married on August 6th, 1960; 1 son, Harold (Sarah) Eddy Jr. of Gainesville, G.A.; 3 daughters, Colleen M. and Nicole Eddy of Rochester and Michelle (Thomas) DeRemer of Tunkhannock P.A.; 2 sisters, Shirley (Dean) LaForce of Johnson City, N.Y. and Katherine (Richard) Blanc of Dallas, T.X.; 2 grand daughters, Jessica DeRemer and Sofia Eddy, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son, Stephen and a daughter, Laureen. Services for Harold will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the Hermitage Cemetery.
