Graydon Lynn Schneckenburger passed away on August 28th 2024 at the age of 92. He was born August 27th 1932 at the Wyoming County Hospital in Warsaw, N.Y.

Graydon grew up in the town of Wethersfield, N.Y. where he attended school at Wethersfield School District 9. Being an outstanding student he was able to begin his high school years early. He attended Warsaw Central School graduating with the class of 1949. Graydon excelled both academically and athletically. He played basketball with the local town team. During his high school years he was captain of the Warsaw Tigers Wrestling Team as well as a member of the Track and Volleyball team.

First a dairy farmer, a profession he truly loved. He managed his family farm in Wethersfield until 1975 when he and his family relocated to Prescott Arizona. There he began a second career in carpentry where he built custom homes and remodeled many. He retired from construction in 2003 and moved with his wife to Chrystal River, Florida.

Beyond his professional life Graydon was a loving devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 42 years Sandra Janis, his sister Marilyn Johnson of Ocala, Florida, and his five children, Lorene Ann Roos, Mary Lynn Schneckenburger, Darlene Ann Schneckenburger, Julie Ann Case Hamilton, and Debbie Ann Findura. He was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lynn and Bertha Battin, parents Lloyd and Avis B. Schneckenburger, his baby sister Audrey J. Schneckenburger and his first wife of 27 years Teresa Scott Sans. A graveside service will be held at Wethersfield Union Park Cemetery, Wethersfield, NY. A time and date will be announced. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made in Graydon's name to Dementia research thereby helping to advance a purpose important to us and to him would be appreciated. Graydon's legacy of diligence, goodness, respect for others and hard work will be remembered by all who knew him. He was deeply loved and cherished throughout his lifetime. We will miss him and honor his memory every day for the rest of our lives.
