Gloria G. Negley, age 89 of Highland Ave. Rochester and formerly Wyoming, NY passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 8th 2014 at St. John's Home in Rochester. Born in Jeanerette, LA, July 1st 1925 the daughter of the late Gerald P. and Azalea M. Morrogh Greig, Gloria was a terrific seamstress and loved to shop. She volunteered her time as a candy striper and with her local PTA. Gloria focused on her greatest love, that of raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. Gloria's Christian Faith was her guiding light in life.
She is predeceased by her loving husband; Charles F. Negley Sr. and three sisters; Marjory Guidry, Geraldine Talbot, and Ramona Thibodeaux.
Survivors include her four daughters; Gloria (Karl) Schuttler of Hammondsport, Charleene (David) Greenplate of Newtown, PA, Rebecca King of Wyoming, and Marla (Raymond) Welch of Wyoming, a son; Charles Negley Jr. of Wyoming, a brother; Gerald P. Greig of Laurel, MS nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held in the Wyoming Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's name to the Alzheimer's Association WNY Chapter
