Gladys G. Newland, age 67 of South Warsaw, passed away Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 at Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born April 19th, 1944 in Arcade, New York, the daughter of the Late Donald and Marian Lewis Newland. A lifelong resident of Western New York and of Wyoming County since 2007, Gladys worked as a custodian for her business Newland's Janitorial and later for BOCES in Mt.Morris. She loved Roy Rogers, enjoyed horses and was a member of the ASPCA and the World Wildlife Federation. Gladys was predeceased by a sister, Donna Brothers. Survivors include 5 sisters, Nancy (Leon) Baylor of Warsaw, Rebecca Vonglis of Silver Springs, Linda Hamilton of Warsaw, Bonnie Newland of Warsaw and Tina Newland of Warsaw; several nieces and nephews; her dog Champ and cat Junior. Friends of Gladys may call Saturday, December 10th, 2011 from 12pm to 2pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street, Warsaw. A memorial service will be held following visitation at 2pm with Pastor Daryn Duff of Rock Glen Baptist Church as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sardinia Cemetery.
