Geraldine V. Sprague, age 86, of Linwood Ave., Warsaw, passed away Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility of Warsaw. She was born in Buffalo, September 11th, 1925, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Lottie Wolhsclagel Rupp. A resident of Wyoming County since 2007 and previously of Florida for 35 years, Gerry worked as a nurse's aide at St. Jerome's Hospital in Batavia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw and the Warsaw Moose Lodge #560. Gerry enjoyed fishing while in Florida, crocheting and playing bingo. She is predeceased by her husband John H. Sprague whom she married in 1943; 4 brothers, Reginald Rupp, Sherwood, Ronald and Larry Kendall; and a sister, Gloria Baker. Survivors include 2 sons, John Sprague of Irondequoit and Neil (Nancy) Sprague of Englewood, FL; 2 daughters, Linda (Nathan) Sturgell of Lewisburg, West Virginia and Mary (John) Murray of Scottsville; 2 brothers, Elmer (Corrine) Kendall of Trenton, North Carolina and Carl Kendall of Arcadia, South Carolina; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Gerry may call from 9am to 11am Saturday, August 11th, 2012 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. Funeral services will be held following calling with Rev.
