Gail A. Merrell, age 47, of South Main St., Gainesville, died Monday, December 20th, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 16th, 1963 in Warsaw, the daughter of the late Earl and Anna Uptegrove Boutwell. Gail was a 1981 graduate of Letchworth High School and lifetime resident of Wyoming County. She was a devoted home maker who loved collecting snowmen, crocheting, watching the food network and babysitting as well as being a loving mother and wife. Gail is survived by her husband, Wayne Merrell of Gainesville; 3 sisters, Kim (Shawn) Boutwell of Gainesville, Kathy Boutwell of Hume, and Sharon Boutwell of Warsaw; a brother, Earl Boutwell Jr. of Silver Springs; 2 daughters, Jessica Merrell of Houghton and Cheyenne Merrell of Gainesville; a son, Kawlija Merrell of Gainesville; her parents-in-law, Mary and Douglas Merrell; 2 nephews and a niece. There are no prior calling hours and burial will be private in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Gainesville. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Gainesville at a later date.
