Frederick E. Swenson, age 65, of Cottage Court Warsaw, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, August 15th at Suzanne's Comfort Care Home in Perry. Fred was born in Duluth, MN August 7th 1952, the son of the late Fred and Lois Gilbert Swenson. Fred was a lifetime resident of Cloquet, and Barnum, MN and recently moved to Wyoming County to be closer to family. Fred graduated from Duluth High School and worked as a cook at the Country Kitchen in Duluth. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran church in Cloquet and enjoyed fishing. Known as a dedicated family man, Fred was also a fan of the Vikings, Twins and wrestling. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed family gatherings at the Finlandia Beach Club. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Hill Swenson in 2015, a sister; Joyce Swenson and a brother; Bruce Swenson. Survivors include 2 daughters; Angela Swenson of Duluth, MN, Laura (Scott) Bodin of Carlton, MN, 2 sons; Justin (Courtney) Swenson of Warsaw, Mike (Christy) Lamminen of Duluth, 2 sisters; Cynthia (Nick) Harris of Washington State, Margaret Staudahar of Duluth, 3 sisters-in-law, Diane Johnson, Gail (Richard) Anderson, and Marie Luomanen; a brother-in-law, Randy Hill; mother-in-law, June Hill, all of Minnesota; 8 grandchildren and a great grand daughter as well as many nieces and nephews survive.
