Frederick J. Brown, age 72, of Kevin Lane Delevan, passed away at home, Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Fred was born in Buffalo, February 23, 1950 a son of the late Gerald J. Brown and June M. Miller Schuman of Lockport. Fred graduated from Iroquois High School in 1968 where he excelled in wrestling, in fact making it to the State Championships. After graduation, Fred joined the US Navy and served in Vietnam on the USS Stanly and the USS Yellowstone. He earned the rank of Boatswains Mate 3, the Nation Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal before being honorably discharged in 1972. Upon returning home, Fred went to work maintaining the machinery at Fisher Price in Holland and retired after twenty years. He enjoyed riding his bike, fishing, hunting and hanging out with friends.

Fred was preceded in death by a daughter; Tammy Brown, his wife; Gerri Brown, and a step father; Bob Schuman.

Survivors include his son; Eric Brown of Watertown, NY, three sisters; Jeanette Gillogly of Cornelius, NC, Bonnie (Pat) Smith of Appleton, NY, Lori Brown of Warsaw, a brother; Richard (Jennifer) Brown of Wethersfield, and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the Spring at the National Cemetery in Pembroke. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street has arrangements.
