Frank Lynn Kessler, age 97, of Lockport Road, Oakfield, died peacefully, Thursday, July 3rd, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Batavia.
Frank was born in Middlebury, November 29th 1910, the son of the late Frank and Emma Horn Kessler. He was a lifetime resident of Middlebury who worked for and retired from the VA Hospital in Batavia. Frank was a dietetic cook for twenty years before retiring in 1972. He was a longtime member of the Dale Baptist Church and the Alabama Hiram G. Luhman American Legion Post #626. He loved to read the Bible and enjoyed the outdoors by farming, hunting and camping. Frank served his country during WWII as an airplane mechanic with the Army Air Corps from 1943-45. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Ina Mae Kessler on October 4th 1999, 4 Brothers; Carl, Oscar, Lawrence and Noel Kessler, 5 Sisters; Ruth Hopkins, Hazel Kessler, Frances Bergum, Meta Kornow, and Ellen Joy George.
Frank is survived by a Nephew; Wallace (Tina) Kornow of Oakfield, and a Niece Marie Higgs of Batavia. Several additional nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends of Frank L. Kessler may call on Wednesday, July 9th from 11am – 2pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw where funeral services will be held at 2pm with American Legion Chaplain, Francis Head as celebrant.
