Frances I. Fritz, age 87, of Lake St., passed away Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. She was born in Rochester, November 13th, 1929, daughter of the late Charles and Madeline Carrie Getty. A resident of Wyoming and Genesee Counties, and attendee of the Immaculate Conception School in Rochester, Frances worked as a waitress at Walt's BBQ in Rochester. She was a very social woman who enjoyed the company of others and was known for her great sense of humor. Frances enjoyed painting, crocheting and embroidery. She was predeceased by her husband, William Fritz who passed April 13th, 2002; and a brother, Charles Getty. Survivors include 2 sons, Donald (Donna) Walburn and Richard (Debra) Mayer, both of Easley, South Carolina; 2 daughters, Sandra (Dan) Smart of Sherman, Texas and Teresa (Mark) Jackson of Rochester; 2 grand daughters, Shannon LaPaglia of LeRoy and Kristy Walburn of Batavia; a grand son, Shawn Walburn of Pavilion; and many extended family members as well as numerous great grandchildren. Memorial calling hours will be held Thursday, February 2nd, 2017 from 1pm to 3pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw.
