Fletcher Stillman Vosburgh, age 88, of Cowie Rd., Wyoming, passed away Monday, January 28th, 2013 at the Eastside Nursing Facility in Warsaw. He was born in Conneaut, OH, May 19th, 1924, son of the late Manly Fletcher and Lottie Buttles Vosburg. Although born in OH, Fletcher grew up in Centerville, NY. He was orphaned at age 12 and two years later, moved to Pavilion to live with and work on the farm of May and Tom Copeland. This was his home until he married Ruth Hutchinson Vosburgh in 1946. Fletcher went on to live in the LeRoy, Pavilion, and Warsaw areas for the rest of his life. He worked at the Jell-O plant for several years while it was in LeRoy, going on to become a farm machinery dealer and mechanic. Later in life, Fletcher enjoyed repairing farm equipment for, and socializing with, the Amish. He was involved for many years in the Caravan for Cancer. Fletcher had also been active in the Warsaw and Curriers Grange. He volunteered several times at the Wyoming County Fair on behalf of the Grange. Fletcher enjoyed raising a few farm animals, spending time at the Empire Livestock Market and local restaurants, and going to auctions. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth; his second wife, Iva Golding Nichols Vosburgh; and 2 sons, Jonathan and Thomas Vosburgh. Survivors include 3 sons, Manley (Loretta) Vosburgh of Bergen, Brock (Sandy) Vosburgh of Rock Hill, SC, and Mark (Patty) Vosburgh of Clemson, SC; 2 daughters, Joan (Jay) Jinks of Sweetwater, TN and Sue (Art) Hult of Wyoming; several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
