Everett E. Irish, age 80, of Old Buffalo Road Warsaw died Tuesday, July 29th 2008 at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia. He was born in Granger, NY, January 17th 1928, the son of the late Elmer J. and Beulah V. (Green) Irish. Everett was a 1945 graduate of Perry High School and went on to join the US Navy. He served during WWII as a Fireman 2nd Class from 1946-48. After the war Everett went on to be a self employed electrician until 1958 when he went to work for Lapp Insulator in LeRoy. He retired in 1989 after 31 years with the company. Everett was a member of the Wyoming County Vets Club in Warsaw and The loyal Order of the Moose. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and deer hunting. He loved Euchre and was past champion on several levels to include State Champ in 1975.
Everett was predeceased by his loving wife, Iloma Ethel (Comstock) Irish on February 17th 1999. Also predeceased, a great-grandson Devon Letts and a granddaughter Chrystina Richardson.
He is survived by loving companion, Gail Hillman,five Daughters; Barbara (Steven) Shea of Largo, FL, Betsy (George)West of Perry, Julie (Mike) Beck of Orangeville, Debra (Elmer) Billings of Perry, Denise (Carl) Charlton of Chico, CA, Three Sons; Jon Irish of Pavilion, Jerald Irish of Amherst, and Bradley (Bonnie) Irish of Seedro Woolly, WA. Also surviving are a Brother; William (Jan) Irish of Corey, PA, a Sister; Lavina (Cal) Bryant of Oregon, 23 Grand and 20 Great-Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Valley Chapel on Sunday, August 3rd at 2:30pm with the Reverend William T. Lowery as celebrant. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw is handling arrangements.
