Eugene A. White age 73, of Suburban Drive Avon passed away at home, Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was born in Warsaw, December 4, 1950 a son of the late Alfred A. and Madeline I. Bailey White. A resident of Avon since 2010, he previously lived in Warsaw and earlier Gainesville. Upon graduating from Letchworth Central in 1968, Eugene joined the United States Army and served Honorably in Germany as a Military Armorer. He worked most recently for the Veterans Program, Greenthumb in maintenance but primarily as a machinist for 25 years starting at Ness in Warsaw which became Lexington Machine in Rochester and also Buell Automatics in Rochester. Eugene was a hard worker and provider. He enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles but was passionate about shooting pool especially 8 ball at which he played in leagues, was captain, and won many tournaments. He was a 53 year member of American Legion Post # 1830 in Chili. For the last 15 years he enjoyed performing Karaoke especially with his friends Dick and Barb and often bragged about all his fans.

Eugene was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Bunce, a brother Duane White, and a brother in-law Walter Casselberry.

Survivors include his loving companion, Verna Grimes of Avon, three sons, Al (Tina) White of Batavia, Charles (Jennifer) White of Warsaw, Jeff White of Chili, a daughter, Gena (Jamie Barrows) White of Perry, 2 sisters, Wanda Casselberry of Warsaw, Lisa (Donnie) Myers of Wyoming, a brother Vern (Rita) White of Java Lake his former wives and mothers of his children, Ruth Bayliss of Warsaw, Betsy Smith of Gainesville, 9 grandchildren and a great grandson on the way. We cannot forget his beloved Basset Hound "Smokey".

Graveside services will be held with full military honors in the Maple Grove Cemetery 11am, Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw, NY 14569 has arrangements visit www.weeksfuneral.com to offer condolences, send cards, gifts or to plant a tree in Eugene's name.
