Ernest A. Morin, age 73, of Hobday Rd., passed away Saturday, June 8th, 2013, at his home in Bliss. He was born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, August 7th 1939, son of the late Ernest N. and Reta J. Smolek Morin. A resident of Bliss since 1994, and previously of Depew, Ernie worked as a maintenance supervisor at the Monroe-Orleans County BOCES in Spencerport from where he retired. He served his country honorably with the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. Ernie was past treasurer of the Pike American Legion Post #1670 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music, flower gardening and watching sports on television. He was predeceased by a son, Gregory J. Morin and a faithful companion, Shadow. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Ruth Szuba Morin; 2 daughters, Tammy Masci of Florida and Kimberly Hobart of Hamburg; a son, Mark E. Morin of Boston, MA; a son-in-law, Michael Hobart of Cheektowaga; a brother, Ronald (Barbara) Morin of Angola; his mother-in-law, Helen Szuba of Bliss; 2 grand daughters, Laurin Masci of Florida and Megan Hobart of Hamburg; his faithful companions Hershey and Jack; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may attend a celebration of Ernie's life at their home in Bliss, Saturday, June 15th, 2013 beginning at 3:00pm.
