In Loving Memory of Eric Daniel Wisniewski

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Eric "Wiz" Wisniewski, who left this world peacefully on March 2nd , comforted by his parents.

Eric dedicated over 15 years of his life to serving as a correctional officer, a role he carried with unwavering integrity, quiet strength, and deep compassion. He believed in the dignity of every person and treated those in his care with fairness and respect, earning the trust of colleagues and inmates alike. His calm presence in moments of crisis and his steadfast commitment to justice left an indelible mark on all who worked beside him.

Beyond his badge, Eric was a loving son, brother, and friend. He found joy in simple moments—fishing, sitting by a campfire in the evening, and writing his soul out on paper.

Eric lived to express what was in his heart and soul by his gift with words.

His presence could fill a room with laughter, as he had the most unique sense of humor and loved to bring joy to all he encountered. His wisdom was a steady anchor for those who sought his guidance.

Eric's legacy is one of service, kindness, silliness, and quiet heroism. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Marge Wisniewski and his brothers, Jon, Mark and Michael Wisniewski and sister Jillian (Kyle) Jordan, nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends and colleagues who will carry his memory forward.
