Ellen B. Smith, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, July 13 th 2019 at the age of 87.
Ellen was born on July 17th, 1931 in Farmersville NY, daughter of the late Allen and Blanche Beach. She was a humble woman who devoted her life to her family. She had a strong faith, and was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church for over 60 years. As a devoted family woman, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends, especially at family birthday parties, holidays and Sunday afternoons. She loved her time spent on the family farm with her husband, Fran, and her children, with whom she won New York State Farm Family of the Year in 1976. Ellen was a remarkable woman. Her contagious smile and caring personality will be missed dearly.
Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Francis M. Smith; sister, Ruth Brill; and daughter, Karen Ansari. Surviving are her children, Leslie (Sally) Smith, of Geneseo, Roger (Cathy) Smith, of Warsaw, Daniel (Pamela) Smith, of Rochester, Judy (Robert) Guarino, of Rochester, Linda (Tony) Jarkowski, of Rochester, and Kevin (Shannon) Smith, of Livonia; a brother, Earle Beach, of Philadelphia; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Calling hours will be at Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St. Warsaw on Wednesday, July 17 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral ceremony will be Thursday July 18 at 10am at United Methodist Church in Warsaw. Internment at Warsaw Cemetery will be on July 25 th at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Methodist Church in Ellen's name.
