Elizabeth "Betty Lynn" Steiner, age 87, of Warsaw, passed away Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Alden, August 10th, 1928, daughter of the late Hawsie and Ruth Skinner Loper. Betty Lynn was a resident of Warsaw since 1952, and a 1946 graduate of East Aurora High School. She worked for Warsaw Central School as the secretary for the High school principal for 30 years, from where she retired. Betty Lynn was a member of the 1st Methodist Church of Warsaw, she enjoyed flower gardening and loved to dance. She was a wonderful cook, a hard working woman, was dedicated to her family and home, was a great partner in the success of the Lynnwood Farm, and was an elemental part of raising her daughters, "the 4 J's". Betty Lynn was predeceased by a brother, Willard Loper. Survivors include her loving husband, Sherwood Steiner of Warsaw; 4 daughters, Judy (John Tobison) Steiner of Delmar, Janet (William) Heston of Round Hill, VA, Jean Steiner of Pine City, and Joan (John) Kircher of Rochester; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends of Betty Lynn may call from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home 10am Thursday, January 28th, 2016. Burial will take place following the service in the Maplewood Cemetery, Marilla.
