Elizabeth C. Rowe, age 87, of Saltvale Rd., passed away Monday, October 29 ^th , 2018 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Wyoming, August 16 ^th , 1931, daughter of the late Dewey A. and Gertrude B. Chase Rowe. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County and a 1951 graduate of Wyoming Central School, Elizabeth worked at the Wyoming Knitting Mill and then at TenHagen Flowers. She moved on to being a private nanny in Rhode Island for a time and finally working on the line at Archway Cookies in Perry for 36 years from where she retired in 1998. Elizabeth attended the First Baptist Church of Wyoming where she was very involved and dedicated to her church and church family. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, Richard A., Donald C., Lester H., and Vernon A. Rowe; and a sister, Thelma W. Randall. Survivors include 2 brothers, David E. Rowe of Coral Springs, FL and Keith (Julene) Rowe of Warsaw; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Wyoming. Burial will take place in the Wyoming Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth's name to the First Baptist Church of Wyoming at 28 Main Street Wyoming, NY 14591.
