Akin, Elizabeth A. "Libbie"
Libbie A. Akin, age 96 of Main Street Silver Springs, died Thursday, June 21st 2012 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Eagle, New York, November 16th 1915, the daughter of the late Arthur and Frances Keppen Coburn. Libbie worked 26 years before retiring at Lucas Rule in Silver Springs. She was a longtime member of the Silver Springs United Methodist Church. Libbie was fun loving, caring and full of energy. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Libbie was preceded in death by her husband; Nelson J. Akin, a son; Elmer Akin, a daughter; Beatrice Conley, two son's in-law; Thomas and James Conley, two grandchildren; Kevin Prosser and Nelson Akin, a brother; Albert Coburn, and three sisters; Rose Wolfer, Marcia Ladd, and Catherine Harris. Survivors include two daughters; Violet Conley of Perry, and Joanne (Lawrence) Prosser of Warsaw, (12) grandchildren, (23) great and (7) great- great grandchildren. Friends may call on Monday, June 25th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main Street Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 26th at 11am with the Reverend Lauren Turner. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Silver Springs.
