Eleanor Holzer, age 101, of West Middlebury Road Wyoming,went home to be with her Lord, Friday, December 1st at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born in Manhattan, March 19th 1916, the daughter of the late Frank and Ilona Reimer. A resident of Wyoming County since 1996, she was previously from Hicksville, Long Island. Eleanor had a terrific zest for life and knowledge. She was a member of the West Middlebury Baptist Church, and the Susan Look Avery Club. She enjoyed the Senior Lunch Hour through the Office For The Aging and the Valley Chapel Social Group. While Eleanor enjoyed the quilt group through her church, she also had an adventurous side that took her on helicopter, glider, and balloon rides. She volunteered as an usher at the Buffalo Philharmonic, Shea's Theater, and the U.B. Center for the Arts.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband Vincent J. Holzer in 1968.

Survivors include her daughter; Stephanie (Dennis) Dominiak of Wyoming, a son; Vincent F. Holzer of Lindenhurst, NY, a granddaughter Marissa and a great grandson Frankie.
Friends of Eleanor may call on Monday, December 4th from 1-3pm at the West Middlebury Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 3pm conducted by Pastor Dale Cuer. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Raymond's Cemetery Bronx, NY.
