Obituary

Eddie Moroz, age 76, of Oak Street Warsaw died Tuesday, December 2nd 2008 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. He was born in Buffalo on March 23rd 1932 the son of the late Steven and Leona Thomas Moroz. He was raised in Buffalo but moved to Wyoming County after serving his country honorably during the Korean War as a forward observer and artilleryman. After the war, he worked as a welder/fabricator for McBride Steel in Batavia for many years. Eddie was a life member and Buddy Poppy Chairman for Warsaw's VFW Post 4823. Every event or fundraiser that came up, Eddie was the first to volunteer. He loved tying his own flies for trout fishing and was fond of hunting and the outdoors. Eddie was a very kind and giving man who was loved by all. We will all miss him, friends and family alike. He was predeceased by an infant son Timothy Moroz. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rita Zimmerman Moroz who he married on November 26th 1953. Also surviving are 4Sons; Michael (Linda) Moroz of Sweetwater, TN, Steven (Sandra) Moroz of Warsaw, Larry (Michele) Moroz of Varysburg, Dennis (Lora) Moroz of Wyoming, NY, 1 Daughter; Lisa (Daniel Delano) Moroz of Silver Springs, 2 Sisters; Margie (Curly) DiCarlo of Buffalo, Judy (Al) Pitisi of Depew, 13 Grandchildren 23 Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews survive. A memorial service will be held at the Valley Chapel in Warsaw at 12pm Saturday, December 6th with Pastor Bill Lowery celebrating. Memorial contributions are requested to the Disabled American Veterans at VAMC 220 Richmond Ave. Attn: Paul Judkins Batavia, NY 14020. Arrangements are from Weeks Funeral Home 123 N.
