Obituary

Edward L. Cook, age 73, of Saltvale Road, passed away Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 at his own home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Warsaw, March 22nd, 1938, the son of the late Leon E. and Una M. Hudson Cook. A resident of Wyoming County since 2000 and previously of Middleport and the surrounding areas, Ted worked for the FMC Corporation of Medina for 28 years before retiring in 2000. He served his country honorably with the United States Marine Corp. from 1956 to 1962. Ted enjoyed hunting and was a true outdoorsman, finding great joy in maintaining his yard and property. He was an avid reader, a movie aficionado and liked to go out to eat. Ted was a member of the Warsaw Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 560, the Warsaw Memorial VFW Post 4823 and the Bergen Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by 2 daughters, Kimberly (Joseph) Cardina of Buffalo and Michele Cook of Rochester; 2 brothers, Richard Cook of Avon and William (Carol) Cook of Batavia, 3 grandchildren and 8 nephews. Memorial calling hours will be held Saturday, June 4th, from 1 to 3pm. Military honors will be rendered at the funeral home at 2pm. Please visit www.weeksfuneral.com to offer online condolences.
