Edna S. Johnson, age 102, of North Main St. passed away Friday, July 8th, 2016 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Warsaw, October 11th, 1913, daughter of the late Elmer and Ada Pierce Schrader. A lifetime resident of Wyoming County, 1931 graduate of Warsaw High School, and 1933 graduate of Bryant and Stratton, Edna worked as the Warsaw Town Clerk from 1954 to 1978 and as the Deputy Town Clerk from 1978 to 1981. She was a member of the United Church of Warsaw and was the secretary of the Warsaw High School Alumni Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Elwin Johnson who passed away in 1981; 3 step-sons, Richard Johnson, Donald Johnson, and Elwin Johnson; and a sister, Deen Herman. Survivors include a daughter, Rev. Patricia Smith of York, Maine; 3 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday, July 13th from 7:00-8:30pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, July 14th at 11am with her daughter, Rev. Patricia Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery.
